New Balance 327 Review: My Go-To Everyday Sneakers for Comfort and Style
Some shoes look good.
Some shoes feel good.
And very few actually manage to do both.

For me, New Balance 327 is one of those rare pairs that genuinely hits the sweet spot between comfort, style and practicality — especially if you have wide feet and spend a lot of time walking.
They’ve been my personal favourite for a long time, and after trying way too many sneakers over the years, these are still the ones I keep reaching for without thinking.

First Impressions: Why the 327 Stands Out
The first thing you notice with the New Balance 327 is the shape.
Check Amazon price -> New Balance.
It has that slightly retro, slightly sporty silhouette that works with:
- jeans
- leggings
- wide trousers
- even casual dresses
It doesn’t scream “running shoe”, but it also doesn’t feel like a stiff fashion sneaker. It sits right in the middle — modern, casual and very wearable.
The oversized “N” logo and chunky sole give it character without looking try-hard.
Comfort & Cushioning: Surprisingly Good for Long Walks
This is where the 327 really won me over.
Despite not being marketed as a hardcore running shoe, they are extremely comfortable for everyday walking.
If you are struggling with feet that hurt after standing all day, read our post on: Best Shoes for Standing All Day 2026.
What I noticed:
- soft midsole cushioning
- flexible sole (no stiff break-in period)
- lightweight on foot
- no pressure points around the toes
I regularly wear them for long city walks, travel days and full days on my feet. And my feet never feel destroyed at the end of the day.

Wide Feet Test: Do They Actually Fit?
This is the big one for me. I have wide feet and so many “trendy” sneakers just don’t work — they either squeeze the sides or feel uncomfortable after an hour.

They’re not officially “wide fit”, but in real life they behave like one.

- has a naturally wider toe box
- doesn’t pinch the forefoot
- feels roomy without looking bulky.
For anyone with:
- wide feet
- bunions
- or just needing more toe space
These are genuinely one of the safest lifestyle sneakers you can buy.
Materials & Build Quality
Most 327 models are made from a mix of:
- suede overlays
- nylon or mesh upper
- rubber outsole
They’re not luxury leather sneakers, but they feel well-made and durable for daily wear. Not ideal for heavy rain or winter slush (they’re more lifestyle than weather-proof).

- breathable
- flexible
- lightweight
- not plasticky
Style
They’re one of those rare shoes that:
- fashion people like
- comfort people like
- and normal people actually wear
They work for:
- casual outfits
- athleisure
- minimalist looks
- neutral wardrobes
And because New Balance releases a lot of colourways, you can easily own more than one pair without feeling silly.
Who Are New Balance 327 Best For?

- go with almost everything
- don’t destroy your feet
